A unique and patented combination of an ultrasonic reactor together with chemical precipitation to ensure that the soluble sulphate is reduced to an acceptable level. The flter cake from the process has chemical properties which make the flter cake non hazardous and it should be able to be re-used as a raw material, aggregate or as an adsorbent.

A patented continuous flow effluent treatment vessel which can be used in conjunction with the above technologies & standard technologies such as:

  • Neutralisation
  • Coagulation and flocculation
  • Chemical precipitation
  • Oxidation and reduction
  • Solids liquid separation e.g. lamella clarifier/separator or dissolved air flotation.
  • Biological treatment
  • Filtration e.g. carbon filtration or membrane
  • Sludge dewatering e.g. filter press, centrifuge or belt press

The application of metal chelating polymers to ensure heavy metals are removed to low levels. The metals can be removed at a wide range of pH’s and even if the metal is a complex, the metal can be precipitated without the need for a pre-treatment step. The metal once bound forms a stable insoluble complex, which does not leach.

A novel & patented combination of an ultrasonic reactor together with chemical oxidation to lower the chemical oxygen demand of the effluent. This allows COD reduction to be carried out rapidly and efficiently, this allows the size of the treatment plant to be reduced.
